My Story

Before I started working out seriously in 1992, I participated for five years in an aerobic class meeting three times each week. This increased my level of conditioning from poor to good. In 1992, I was 3 months pregnant with my fifth child when I began doing resistance training and flexibility exercises (yoga) in addition to cardiovascular exercise. With strength training, I found that I did not experience the low back pain that I had with my four previous pregnancies during the last trimester.

My sixth pregnancy, three years later, at age 44, was my most enjoyable as I was so much stronger due to the increased level of exercise. Over the years I have continued to work out 6 to 7 days a week for the most part and the quality of my life has improved dramatically.

Before getting in shape I had difficulty keeping up with the demands of raising a large family while home educating. After becoming fit I had the energy to take up tennis and spend 1 to 2 hours every day practicing in addition to my usual workout. Exercise has given me a way of relieving the stress of raising 6 children and has helped me to persevere through 16 years of homeschooling.

Attending yoga classes several times a week has benefited me in many ways. The two that I appreciate most are being able to breathe much more freely and not having a lot of tension in my back. Stretching helps me stay loose and relaxed.

I must say that the Lord Jesus Christ has been an invaluable source of strength on a daily basis since I became a Christian at age 31. He gives me peace in all circumstances and also the courage to persevere . His love is real and powerful! "The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices and with song will I praise him." Psalm 28:

I would love to help you change your health story and your life through dietary excellence and healthy life-style choices.
